Growing up, she was very passionate about literature, graduating from the Belarusian University of Culture and Arts with a degree in Library Science. Her academic excellence was rewarded with a unique internship at the National Library of the Republic of Belarus, including access to its collection of old printed and rare books dating from the 14th Century. She earned her BA in Education and Russian Literature from Brooklyn College and achieved her Master’s Degree at Rutgers.
She has written four books of poetry, Crystal Shallow Waters, Disrobing, Flooded Grass, and Piercing Happiness.
