Water/Ways Lecture by Justin R. Grubich, Ph.D.

Friday, November 8 at 3:00 PM at the Elliott Museum

SPEAKER: Justin R. Grubich, Ph.D.

Join us for an exciting lecture with Dr. Justin Grubich, an expert in fish science and marine conservation. Discover the fascinating world of marine life, learn about critical conservation efforts, and explore ways to be a steward of our oceans.

About Justin Grubich, Ph.D.:
Justin’s passion for fishing began with his grandfather, spending his summers in the Florida Keys fishing for barracuda, grouper, snapper, and more. After earning his B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of Miami and a Ph.D. in the biomechanics of fishes from Florida State University, Justin embarked on a career defined by scientific discovery and marine conservation.

From postdoctoral research at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago and the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole to his role as Assistant Professor of Biology at the American University in Cairo, Justin’s research has taken him around the world. He’s led National Geographic documentary expeditions and worked at the U.S. Department of State on fisheries policies. Today, he lives in Stuart, FL, working with the Pew Charitable Trusts on conservation efforts to preserve Florida’s fishing legacy for future generations.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn from a leading expert in the field!
