HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF MARTIN COUNTY
About The Sterling Society
At the heart of our work is presenting exhibitions and programs through both traditional and interactive Museum experiences. Admission fees and sponsorships do not cover all the costs for these exhibitions and programs. To provide critical funds in support of our programs and exhibits, the Museum has launched an annual giving program called the Sterling Society for patrons contributing $500 or more.
Circle of Friends supporters know that they are making a major impact on the cultural life of our community through their support.
As our way of saying thanks, contributors to the Circle of Friends will receive the following:
- Invitations to special Circle of Friends events
- Public recognition on our electronic bulletin board in the lobby of the museum
- Inclusion in the Annual Report as a member of the Circle of Friends
- Patron-level membership benefits

Historical Society of Martin County
The Historical Society of Martin County is the parent organization of the Elliott Museum and House of Refuge Museum. As the Elliott Museum wows guests with its renowned car and baseball collections, the House of Refuge showcases what life was like for the Keeper and his family in turn-of-the-century Florida. Both museums showcase a wide variety of exhibits, collections, and lectures, all designed to serve the interests of people who live in and visit Florida’s Treasure Coast.
