Coastal Colors & Treasure Coast History Experience

Friday, May 8  |  1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Celebrate Historic Preservation Month with a special series of immersive experiences at the Elliott Museum. Every Friday in May, guests are invited to step beyond the exhibit and engage directly with expert docents and historians who bring our collections to life.

From the legends of the Ashley Gang to the elegance of Frances Langford, each afternoon offers a unique opportunity to explore the stories that shaped the Treasure Coast and beyond…Let’s start this Friday with beauty & history of the Treasure Coast.

Immerse yourself in the beauty and history of the Treasure Coast.

Join Marie Kennedy inside the Coastal Colors exhibit, featuring a special display of plein air paintings capturing the iconic House of Refuge. These works offer a vibrant perspective on Martin County’s oldest building through the eyes of artists painting on location.

Your experience continues in History Hall, where Marie connects these artistic interpretations to the dramatic stories of the 1715 Spanish Fleet and Treasure Coast shipwrecks—bringing together art, history, and survival in one engaging afternoon.

Join us every Friday in May from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Admission is included with regular museum entry.
