Friday the 13th Lucky Day for Highwaymen Painting Winner
Friday the 13th was definitely a lucky day for Josh Fine when his name was drawn as the winner of an original Highwaymen painting valued at $8,000. The drawing held at the Elliott Museum, was for a beautiful 20” x 24” oil painting by Sam Newton, one of the original 26 Highwaymen.
After Fine’s name was drawn from the hundreds in the bin, Josh was called and happily planned to pick it up February 18th at the Elliott.
The painting was donated to the Elliott Museum by Roger Lightle, Highwaymen Art Specialists. The painting complimented the amazing exhibit of more than 100 Highwaymen paintings Lightle has on display at the museum. While there are 60 from Lightle’s private collection on display, there are at least 30 still available for purchase.
The Highwaymen exhibit will be available until mid April
at the Elliott Museum, 825 NE Ocean Blvd, Hutchinson Island/Stuart and may be visited seven days a week from 10 am – 5pm.
