Curated by his daughter, Barb Bucci, and her two brothers, this exhibition brings together selections from across the country, highlighting the depth and beauty of DeMartis’s artistic journey. Many of these works have never been displayed in this region, making this a truly special event.

About the Artist
James J. DeMartis (1926–1996) was an American painter whose artistic evolution spanned from impressionistic landscapes to abstract expressionism. A Purple Heart recipient, DeMartis studied at the Museum of Modern Art’s War Veteran Art Center and the Art Students League in New York before further refining his craft in Florence, Italy. His work, blending romantic realism with dynamic abstraction, has been widely exhibited and remains highly sought after by collectors.
