By 1915 Harley-Davidson’s racing team, known as the “Wreaking Crew,” was dominating the sport and creating more sales, positioning the company for success. Our Harley-Davidson has a new step starter. Instead of starting the engine with the bike on a wheel stand the rider could now step on the pedal. This bike finished in the company’s gray color which, combines with the motor’s efficient muffler, led to its famous nickname: “Silent Gray Fellow.”
