About this vehicle
The Corniche name was applied to two-door hardtop coupes and convertible coupes made by Rolls-Royce starting in 1971. These cars used the basic mechanical systems from the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow sedan. The Corniche body was fabricated by Milliner-Park Ward in London. Built to the highest standards possible, these cars were made in limited quantities. Only 3,239 Corniche Series I convertibles were made between 1971 and 1987. The word corniche, which means road evokes the elegant French and Italian seaside resorts favored by wealthy, sophisticated travelers … especially the famous French Riviera.
