2nd Annual Coastal Colors Paint Out Exhibit

May 8 through August 6, 2026

Step into a gallery alive with light, movement, and coastal energy.

Coastal Colors: The Exhibition brings together a stunning collection of plein air works created during the 2nd Annual Paint Out at the historic House of Refuge. Each piece captures a fleeting moment where sky meets sea, where history stands against the elements, and where artists translate place into emotion.

Created during the House of Refuge’s 150th Anniversary and following its remarkable restoration, this collection offers something rare: a fresh, living interpretation of Martin County’s most iconic landmark at a defining moment in its story.

From the rugged Anastasia rock formations to the shifting blues of the Atlantic and the calm expanse of the Indian River Lagoon, these works reflect not just what the artists saw, but what they felt. Every brushstroke carries the immediacy of being there on the shoreline, immersed in wind, light, and history.

No two perspectives are the same. Some works are bold and expressive, others quiet and reflective, but together they form a powerful visual narrative of place, time, and transformation.

See it through their eyes. Experience it for yourself.

All artwork in the exhibition is available for purchase, offering a rare opportunity to bring home an original piece inspired by the House of Refuge and its surrounding coastal beauty.

ALL EXHIBITS ARE INCLUDED WITH REGULAR ADMISSIONS
